Karbonn adds 3 Smartphones and 2 Tablets on the Indian shelves

Karbonn has announced five new gadgets as a bid to expand the ‘Karbonn Smart’ range in India. Launched on October 12, let’s take a peek at the specs of the devices.

Smart Tab 3 (Blade)

Priced at an economical Rs. 7,990, Blade had a 1.2GHz CPU, a powerful 2,600mAh battery, a 7.1-inch capacitive touchscreen and runs on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. It has Wi-Fi and 3G capabilities through USB, the innovative 3D gravity sensor and a 1.3MP front camera for video chatting. It will come pre-installed with Karbonn Smart browser and games.

Smart Tab 9 (Marvel)

Marvel will have a market price of Rs. 5,990. Like Blade, it has a 1.2GHz processor and runs on Android 4.0 ICS. It has a 9-inch capacitive touchscreen and 4,000mAh battery. It too comes equipped with Wi-Fi and 3G support through USB dongle, 1.3MP front camera, 3d gravity sensor and pre-installed apps like Karbonn Smart Browser, Karbonn Smart Games, Facebook and more.

It has a 4-inch capacitive touchscreen of resolution 480x800p, Dual SIM (both GSM) with dual standby, Android 4.0, 1GHz processor, FM Radio with 3.5mm audio jack, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0 with A2DP and GPS capabilities, 1,500mAh battery. The 5MP camera comes with an LED flash and Auto Focus. There is a 1.3MP secondary camera too. Memory can be expanded up to 32GB with microSD card. It is priced at Rs. 9,990.

A7+

At Rs. 8,990, A7+ comes with a 3.5inch capacitive touch display of 320x480p, Dual SIM with dual standby, Android 2.3 (Gingerbread), 1GHz processor, FM radio with 3.5mm audio jack and 1,420mAh battery. It too has 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n and Bluetooth with A2DP and GPS. The 5MP camera has dual LED flash and there is a VGA front facing camera too. Memory can be extended up to 32GB with microSD cards.

A1+

It has more or less the same specs with 3.5inch 320x480p capacitive touch display, Dual SIM with dual standby, Android 2.3, 1GHz processor, FM radio with 3.5mm audio jack, 3G, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. It also has a 3MP camera, VGA camera, expandable memory up to 32GB and a 1,500mAh battery. The price tag is Rs. 4,990.

The specs are not top of the market, but the price range is quite accommodating for smaller wallets too. So these low-end Smartphones are expected to be quite a hit in the Indian market.
